A Grandparent's Take on Christian Education

June 30, 2019
By Pat Turner

My wife and I decided many years ago that we wanted our two sons in Christian education. We believed in the biblical principle that says, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6). We wanted to see our children grow into mature Christians, with a biblical worldview, and follow Jesus all of their lives.

The Barna Group defines a biblical worldview as a belief in the following: absolute moral truth exists, the Bible is completely inerrant, Satan is real, it is impossible for someone to earn their way into heaven through good behavior, Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, and God is all-powerful, all-knowing creator of the universe.

At the heart of Christian education, and certainly at Christian School District, is the desire to instill in students a resilient faith for life, and to impart in each student a conviction that comes from knowing why they believe, not just what they believe.

Today, our sons children, our six grandchildren, are enrolled in Christian School District. The choice you make as a parent for your children’s education can and will help shape their character and personality for eternity.

A Christian education through Christian School District will equip your child not only academically, athletically, and culturally, but most of all spiritually. Christian educators help mentor and disciple students in all areas of their lives that mold and shape them throughout the rest of their lives.  We would love to have you join our school and experience God within our walls.
